Library Apps
Your MPLD library card and these apps give you free access to many of our in-depth research databases and other online resources that are available by mobile device. Download these apps from the links below.
AccessMyLibrary
The AccessMyLibrary provides you access to the following library databases: Chilton's Car Repair.
When opening the app for the first time it will use your location to determine your local library. If the McHenry Public Library District is not the first choice you can search for the library using the map.
EbscoHost
The EbscoHost App provides access to the following databases: BIR Entertainment, Books Index with Reviews, and Small Engine Repair. The Consumer Reports database is not available through this app as it is only available to individual subscribers.
hoopla
Borrow comics, ebooks, eaudiobooks, movies, music and television shows instantly with your library card and the hoopla app. Titles steam automatically and are returned at the end of the lending period.
Mango Languages
Study over 17 different languages on the go with the Mango app. Each language includes lessons on vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and culture. Sign in with your exsisting Mango Languages account or create one with your MPLD library card number.
Libby
Libby is a new app for OverDrive that's easier to use. Try it out!
LOTE4Kids
Download the FREE LOTE4Kids App to access thousands of engaging tales in 65+ languages, including sign language, to spark their curiosity and foster a love for reading!
