Only you can decide!
Participants must be in grades 4-8 to submit a bracket. Only one (1) bracket entry is allowed per person. Please fill out your full name, school, and a phone number so we can reach you if you win! Brackets missing these details will not be eligible for prizes.
Win the most points by correctly choosing the "winning pick" for each of the match-ups associated with the tournament. To fill out your bracket, write the name of the book you think will win in the box next to each match up.

Brackets are available here and at the Questions Desk starting February 1, 2025. All brackets must be turned in to the Questions Desk before 4pm on Sunday, February 16! Please Note: brackets turned in after this deadline will not be eligible to win a prize.
Voting
Anyone can vote, even if they did not submit a bracket. A voting link will be posted on the library's website on the first day of each round of voting at http://www.mchenrylibrary.org. Voting will end at 5 p.m. on the dates listed below.
Voting Dates:
Sweet 16: Feb 18-24
Elite Eight: Feb 26-Mar 4
Final Four: Mar 6-12
Championship: Mar 14-20
Scoring:
Sweet 16 winners: 4 points per correct pick
Elite Eight winners: 8 points per correct pick
Final Four winners: 16 points per correct pick
Championship: 32 points per correct pick
The winning book will be announced Friday, March 21. Winning students will be announced by the end of April.
Tiebreakers: If there is a tie, a raffle held by the Youth Services Staff at McHenry Public Library will determine the winners.
Prizes: Those with the most points after the Championship Round will win the following prizes:
1st place: Amazon Kindle and a $25 gift card
2nd place: Amazon Kindle and a $20 gift card
3rd place: Amazon Kindle and a $15 gift card
