About the Library
The McHenry Public Library District serves approximately 41,000 residents in the city of McHenry and surrounding areas. We occupy about 28,000 square feet in a former warehouse/office building. The library is a member of Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS), and shares an automation system with 22 other libraries through Cooperative Computer Services (CCS).
